just speculating here… why did amazon put the SD card under the cover? well if i had to guess i would say it has some thing to do with keeping dust out, avoid accidental ejections, besides how often does one switch a SD card?

h9kalyma, it has mp3 capability now. Just add them to the SD card and plug in headphones. You can read and listen to music. I have done it.
