Once you see the screen in real life, you'll understand why you wouldn't want to be rubbing your finger on it. I avoid touching it at all, and carefully wipe off any dust. It has a keyboard (good for notes, but not extensive typing) and a navigation wheel. It doesn't take long to get used to, and it works well.
