seeing as you have one maybe you could anwser some questions for me. Do you know how much it costs to convert your word doc onto the kindle? How do you pay for the bill does it go on to a credit card?

  3. edokins Says:

    What program do you …
What program do you use to get that effect used in the intro?

    I love my Kindle… …
I love my Kindle…had it 3 months, easy to use and to read in bed, on a plane, or a Drs. office..just read “Justifiable Homicide”, I recomend it as a serious polemic and satire …especially in view of who is running for GOP VP….Kindle has all the other electronic books beat, hands down!

  5. vterp Says:

    One of the better …
One of the better features of Kindle is the fact that it does not use backlighting. E-ink is much easier to read and uses much less battery power.

  6. kidaweb Says:

    wait til Apple …
wait til Apple masters this idea before spending near 400 dollars on something that doesnt even offer the option of backlighting. what were they thinking. the only reason the kindle is make news, is because it is the only thing of its kind. in 2 years that thing will be a fossil

  7. daleroes Says:

    I saw a guy just …
I saw a guy just like this doing a live presentation for a similar microsoft product at the ABA (book expo) convention in Chicago around year 2000, but then I never heard about the microsoft reader again afterwards.

    Whatever suits you. …
Whatever suits you. But the controls of the Kindle is simply nonsense. Nonsense. =)

  9. DJPrince2032 Says:

    true but how many …
true but how many drunken whores go out and read. This is doing what it is supposed to do hit the target area. I’m not saying people who drink or has ladies don’t read books but there not going to be the biggest buyers and who are that’s who you advertise to!

  10. DJPrince2032 Says:

    Yeah but Kindle is …
Yeah but Kindle is taking it to higher better level

  11. DJPrince2032 Says:

    You can’t buy books …
You can’t buy books on the iPhone or iTouch plus I have an iTouch and it sucks always trying to find Wi-fi. This is 100 times better for books, magazines and newspapers. Now I’m not saying get a kindle over an iPhone basically Kindle is more book specific and is the master of that where iPhone does multi stuff like it’s the jack of all trades but master of none.

  12. asdasdzxczxc22 Says:

    … that dudes life …
… that dudes life style is so BORING!
books are great, but this guy just do anything that is 100% adult! and by that, I mean not booze and ladies!

  13. GotToPractise Says:

    Can’t the same …
Can’t the same thing be easily done on the iPhone or even the iTouch? I’m sure the B&N and Borders peepz are developing for those devices instead.

  14. raggsy Says:

    Hmmm seems like …
Hmmm seems like nearly 2000 Kindle users give it either 4 or 5 stars on Amazon’s website.

Even the people who don’t like it don’t complain about the display.

The Sony reader uses the same display and no-one whinges about that either.

I think I’ll go with the opinions of those who actually own one - but hey that’s just my choice.

  15. hemna Says:

    I’m not talking …
I’m not talking about flash compression artifacts. the display itself has terrible contrast and looks like pooh. Black text on grey background…yah that’s easy on the eyes. junk. junk. junk.

  16. raggsy Says:

    on YouTube’s low …
on YouTube’s low res vids of course it does

  17. hemna Says:

    the display looks …
    the display looks like dog

    >Could Kindle go …
    >Could Kindle go big?-
The price of a normal book includes production costs but also content costs. Any book used in a learning environment, such as college, is priced much higher than a book of comparable size. The way that the Kindle will make a distinction as a tool is if contracts for college text books are arranged and shave off $50-100 off the college book stores. Saving $100-200 a semester or quarter would create demand as a necessary college tool and preferred graduation present.

    For more …
For more information on ebook readers search Youtube for iLiad, eReader, Cybook or Google up Mobileread Forum. Tons of information about all these devices. Kindle is not the only player in this game.

    This thing is …
This thing is awesome! I’ve read hundreds of pages more than usual because of it!

  21. rowelle Says:

    That’s also how J.K …
That’s also how J.K. Rowling feels. And she doesn’t want her books in digital format so we might not see the Potter books in Kindle format, which is unfortunate because I would love the own all the books for Kindle.
