I had an appearance on Twin Cities Live today talking about eReaders. We went over 3 different eReaders that I own, but my collection is actually larger than that. I thought it was fun, and hopefully I was able to present the technology in a way that even a techophobe would understand.

Plastic cups …
Plastic cups consume more resources to make than paper cups. However the former is considered more environmentally friendly because it only takes a small amount of energy to clean and reuse.
It’s the same idea here. The ebook consumes more resources initially, however the maintenance is low. Especially since the eInk uses very little power compared to other display technologies.

uhu why buy a kindle for like 299 or 399 or whatever! it’s expensive. and a book is enviorement unfriendly, like if. come on! electric devices are so more unfriendly
