I am really interested in the amazon kindle.
just curious though, most of the books i read have little pictures in the middle of the story. Does the amazon kindle show these pics?
or can i only see them in the actual book?
i like these pics, because after i read a while, the pictures give me a really good visual idea about my story, and i will not get the kindle unless it shows book pics.
Yes, the Kindle can show pictures. They are pretty good, too, considering they are pixelated and b/w.
However, the Kindle usually separates the pictures from the text, and shows it on a separate page.
Also, I've noticed that the magazine subscriptions I have do not include pictures at all. That is a distinct possibility for books too.
Perhaps you could read the reviews of the kindle version of some of the books you like and see if people mention the pictures.
Also, is there a way to know if a certain book is available for the Kindle before I buy the Kindle? Thanks!
You can see images on the Kindle. However, they are in B/W and heavily pixelated, which means it’s not very good at details. Looks pretty good though, for general viewing.
You can look up any book on Amazon.com. If it has a Kindle version, it will say under the section where it lists all the different versions of books, including paperback, hardcover, or audio book.
i want a amazon kindle at a cheap price of $50 and i want it to be NOT A AUCTION!!!! or Reserve!
The reason you have not received an answer to this question is because there is no place to get the Kindle for $50.oo, unless you want a Kindle with a broken screen (ebay).
Kindle is fairly new, and the price will not reduce to under $100.oo for many many years.
I don't have to pay for the service or anything, do I?
Kindle is an amazing piece of technology. You don'tt have to buy anything else apart from books. Just a Kindle. You can later download books online. You gotta have it. Am so excited to tell you what a lovely discovery/innovation of technology it is. Simply superb.

I own an Amazon Kindle and i am recieveing weird billings for 10 dollars from Amazon. Started when I registered the Kindle. No info online.
There is no monthly fee. You only pay for the Kindle, then anything you buy from Amazon to read on the device. Many of the bestsellers are $9.99, so perhaps you ordered a couple of books? Did you maybe order a "free" trial subscription to a newspaper or blog and then the free trial period expired and they started charging you?
If there is a billing error, just notify Amazon. They're very easy to work with.
I love my Kindle.
I would love to know all of the details and if its bad for your eyes, if the second version will be better? (I am doing a speech) I would like to know everything! Any site links would be appreciated also!
Go to amazon.com and read the customer reviews. There are a lot (over 1000) of them for the kindle and that will give you many different points of view.

The Sprint SIM card included in Kindle and the internet browser installed in the experimental menu, allow to surf the web without limits or only on certain sites?
The Kindle runs on Sprint's EvDO network.. that's a CDMA network, not GSM.. thus, no SIM card. But it does have built-in 3G cellular modem. And Amazon pays all connection costs, other than when you email something directly to your Kindle… that costs 10 cents.
Since Amazon is essentially footing the bill for access time, they like to see something out it.. like a book sale/delivery. So it's likely that Amazon's site works really well. And they feature Wikipedia access as a "feature", but of course, Wikipedia is very simple HTML.
The story so far is that, yes, you can browse for free. But you're not going to have much success at sites other than for text and graphics.. which of course, only come in monochrome. And the "digital paper" display may be a bit slow for a great web experience. No PDF support, either. Of course, any of this stuff could change as they continue to develop the device.
Although the Kindle can play audiobooks, they aren't letting it download those over the air… you have to sync them through your PC. The books they send are very small, as it's text and monochrome low-res graphics.
