I have a Sony ebook reader and the only place I can buy the books for it is from the Sony Connect on line store. Unfortunately they only accept the use of credit cards with USA addresses. Living in the UK I obviously don't have the address that I need. Does anyone know a way around this?
I am pretty sure Sony has a store in the UK, you can try to find it at sony's website.
I was looking for an eBook reader and I stumbled upon this site:
http://www.kk.org/cooltools/archives/000391.php
which shows a review for the Sony Clie T6152.
I looked on eBay and the Clie as well as a few other PDAs are relatively cheap because they're a few years old.
Now, I don't really care about the age, I just want something to read eBooks on rather than my cell phone. (Awkward small screen, backlight only stays on for 30 seconds, eats up batteries… etc.)
I just want something that works well.
Also, it would be nice if it wasn't very thick, but that's just a plus. I really don't care much as long as it's not gigantic and can preferably fit into my pocket.
Any ideas?
Oh, and looking through PDAs for the past half-hour, I've been thinking… wifi might be nice too…
Most of the eBooks are meant for Palm or other PDAs. As of now there are very few exclusive eBook readers. One of them is Sony. There is another Reader named iLiad made by iRex Technologies. Amazon has its own proprietary eBook reader called Kindle but its bulky and not pocket size. In my opinion only the Sony eBook reader fits your requirements. And I am not sure if it has wi-fi.
Kindle has wi-fi.

Hope this helps.
Ok I have been researching ebook readers. The know name brand ones are to expensive, (Amazon,Sony). There is a cheaper one it's a ebookwise reader. However. I was thinking if I get a Pda that can store picture and does all that other stuff. Which is better?
If Pda which one is the best for my needs?
Get the E book reader then you can program my books into it. Hope you like sci-fi, myster, adventure and ghost stories cause that what I write. LOL.
I originally intend it for ebook reading, the ipod touch and asus PDA are all capable of reading PDF but the screens are smaller compared to Sony e-Reader (i don't intend to buy Amazon's Kindle, am outside of USA). On the other hand, the other functionalities of the ipod itouch and the PDA are also a plus, which the Sony e-Reader doesn't have.

I am buying a Sony ebook reader for $300 but the current

Comparison of screen refresh speed between a new Sony Reader PRS-505 and an old iLiad after a screen repair.
Seems pretty similar, but iLiad is a few frames slower (about 15%). Since iLiad’s screen driving waveform is obviously very different (there’s a slight “blink” at the end of the refresh), it’s pretty hard to determine whether it uses a Vizplex matrix too.
