A PDF is virtual paper. it is not an "image" persay, but it acts just like one. you cannot copy words from a PDF for that very reason. just like you cannot copy text from an image. to copy the text, you need to convert the PDF into a different format. try looking at www.omniformat.com

    thats the point, its copyrighted

you are supposed to be able to copy and paste info from an e-book

You probably can't copy. It's copyright protection so the user can't go around making his own copies of the e-book and make money.

because PDF is not a document…it is more of an "image"

you need full acrobat in order to try something like that…

In Acrobat Reader, on the top toolbar there is an icon that looks like an uppercase "T", highlight this and you will be able to select text in the pdf to copy.

well I think the pdf format has an option to disallow copying. for those people who want to make shure only the people who paid for the pdf can actualy see the contents of it. i think your only method for a work arround is to use OCR program on a screen cap. or type in the text yourself.
