The Amazon Kindle, and the Sony e-Book Reader, both use a display technology called e-Ink. This technology uses very little power to “paint” a page of text, so a very light reading device can be designed to closely approximate a small book.
The Kindle and the Sony both have internal, and external memory slots. The Sony actually has two, an SD slot and a Sony duo-Pro slot. The Sony could easily hold upwards of 10,000 books.
