Some places have those wipes you can use on the carts. It is disgusting when you think of all those germs that can be on the carts. Or bring some with you and wipe them down before using them. Yes i think wal-mart is gross.
References :
You really need some help. I think you are a totally anal person who should be locked up in a stainless steel cell with a gallon of clorox and a can of Lysol. By the way, are you and Michael Jackson really close friends?
References :
Come on germs are everywhere in your home in your car in your nose on your hands if your that worried about it dont shop there! I myself shop there and so do a million other people and everywhere you go there are GERMS! I would much rather shop there then eat at a fast food resturent where they actually wipe there noses on their hands and still prepare food or sneeze and their goobers go into our food how much more dirty is that. Each to their own though everyone has a right to their opinion but every store is dirty if you ask me.
References :
I thought I was the only person that felt that way. Now I realize the more I discuss with "normal" people what you so elaquently stated. If you DON'T feel dirty there, something is wrong with you.
References :
i don't. not at all. i don't know which ones ya'll are talking about, but my walmart is no different than any other store. and dear? upscale or not, you'd be surprised at how dirty it actually is.

and i agree...if you feel filthy, don't go. simple. so basically your just simply trying to start something out of fear or anger.

oh....fred myers? why don't you check the BACK of the store...that's where they hide it all. they are no more "cleaner" than walmart.....i know, my aunt worked there. rats running around EW!!!!!!!!!!!!

just goes to show you, no one store is better than the other.

*edited to the below poster:
I am just as normal as anyone else, however, I do know that whether you "see" the filth" or don't see the filth, it's STILL there.

if that were the case, the cleanest place of all should be a hosptial and trust me....they may smell clean, but clean they are not....so, it really does not matter what store, what hospital, whose house....germs are a part of every day life, it's un avoidable, no matter how clean a place is.

you'd be surprised how dirty your skin is 5 minutes after a nice long shower. it's life.

as for the addition to the flu season, i may get the flu every 8 to 10 years...go figure...i shop at walmart! (germs DO help, you'd be surprised!)
References :
was a snob.

Consider these 3 Steps:

1. Plan to go early (when store opens) to avoid the crowds and the smell of big crowds.

2. Have a specific goal in mind, or shopping list so that you are in and out in a few minutes.

3. Carry some type of natural scent, like peppermint oil, or lemon oil that can help you cope with the environment that is a "cesspool" of germs. You will feel better when you do this.

You can find high quality oils in a health food store or specialty store.

I carry a powerful blend of therapeutic, organic oils in a small bottle which I rub on my hands before entering the store. I also inhale some whenever people around me sneeze or cough.

As the Boy Scouts say, Be Prepared...
References :
This link has some info worth studying to help you out:

Sorry I can't answer this one because I refuse to shop at WalMart. I think they treat their employees horribly and don't give a damn about the consumers.

But isn't every store full of snotty kids and dirty floors? Public bathrooms are competely off limits to me unless I have a sudden burst of diarrhea. They don't clean often and they don't do a real scrub down every night. On the Tyra show they showed what was on the floor around the tiolet and at the sinks, what was on the tiolet seats, doors, doorknobs, faucets and soap dispensors. They took swabs of it all at different stores and resturants and night clubs and showed us the microscopic germs, organisms, worms and blood and fecal matter and urine that was everywhere. GROSS!!!!! I don't do pubic bathroom unless I have absolutely no choice. I never sit directly on the tiolet seat and I don't put my purse on the floor. And after watching her show I scrubbed my own bathroom for 2 hours. GROSS!!!!!
