There is this free OCR software called Free OCR. I downloaded it and tried it. Amazing !!!!!!
I asked it to convert some old jpeg text file to MS-Word. Guess wwhat ? It took about 5 seconds to convert the document and opening word and present it to me for editing.&lt;br&gt;&lt;b&gt;References : &lt;/b&gt;&lt;br&gt;Computer Analyst / Programmer</description>

If you bought a scanner or an &#039;all in one&#039; it should have come with OCR software albeit a cut down version.  None of them are 100% perfect and may require some editing in Word after you open the file in it.  But it sure cuts down on the amount of time you would spend typing every word in.  Also in Word look about converting the files to pdf format.&lt;br&gt;&lt;b&gt;References : &lt;/b&gt;&lt;br&gt;</description>
