Comparison of screen refresh speed between a new Sony Reader PRS-505 and an old iLiad after a screen repair.
Seems pretty similar, but iLiad is a few frames slower (about 15%). Since iLiad’s screen driving waveform is obviously very different (there’s a slight “blink” at the end of the refresh), it’s pretty hard to determine whether it uses a Vizplex matrix too.

I was going to do a full written review, but I think the video touches all bases. It’s a $3 app that gives you a library of free books. According to the developers, there are many more books to come. Simple, clean, and great UI. If you read and have a touch device, you need this app.

This was a video I took of the Sony eBook Reader when I stumbled upon it at the Borders above Penn Station in New York City. I didn’t get to play with it for very long, but I can definitely say that the image quality is good enough to facilitate reading for hours. I do know for sure that the device can read PDFs and accepts MemoryStickPro and SD memory cards for expandable memory.
